This is what I would do if I wanted to LOSE WEIGHT....
The first thing I would focus on is going sugar free. I would read every label because I know nothing will stall my weight loss faster than sugar consumption.
Next I would drastically cut down on carbs. Depending on my lifestyle and current state of health, I would go 100 grams or less, 50 grams or less, even potentially 25 grams or less... especially if I had insulin resistance.
I would focus on eating high protein because if I don't, I know my I will face cravings that could cause me to lose track of my goals. To calculate my protein I would use the method of .8 x (my ideal body weight)
If I got confused as to what I should eat, I would simplify my diet by thinking meat and vegetables are my two foods to focus on.
I would not snack between meals, I would only eat at meal time. I would also focus on drinking lots of water.
I would start intermittent fasting.... do a 24 hour fast.... a 48 hour fast... knowing full well that fasting preserves lean muscle and burns fat.
If I wasn't getting the results I wanted to see by making these changes I just mentioned, I would concern myself with calorie consumption. Maybe I'm eating too much food?.... Its always good to have a sense of how much food my body needs, so this is good info I can use for life. I would not calorie deficit below 500 calories a day though because that could lead to failure.
I would exercise everyday... I would make sure at the very least I'm getting 10k steps per day in the form of a brisk walk. But I know what I'm capable of and I would exercise like a beast. I would not accept excuses because this is only a small price to pay for the reward I will reap.
If I wanted extra support, I would use berberine... but I wouldn't use any berberine, I would use this one ( https://bit.ly/43a7XWZ ) that is 5x more bioavailable than regular berberine combined with extended release technology to give long lasting benefits. This will lower my blood sugar, help with cravings, ultimately helping me get results faster.
Because I know healthy weight loss is about 1lb per week, I wouldn't get stressed over the process not happening fast enough... I would focus on the fundamentals and give myself grace... knowing I will screw up... and that is ok.
This is how I would lose weight... turns out it will work for you too. :)
